Palletizing robot for open box

Success Story

Cérélia

Cérélia is a company specialized in the industrial production of fresh bread and pastry, founded 50 years ago.

It stands out for its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), with a focus on actions that benefit both people and the planet.

In 2023, Cérélia launched a new product in its range of refrigerated doughs. At that time, palletizing was done manually by an operator. To reduce the strenuous nature of this task, Cérélia decided to automate this repetitive operation. After analyzing various technical solutions, Cérélia chose to go with a cobot solution.

Project Definition

In collaboration with Cérélia (a world leader in rolled dough), the R&D department of BFR Systems developed an innovative gripper tool for a collaborative robot dedicated to palletizing open boxes.

The boxes, which could not be handled with suction cup trays and were relatively heavy, required a multi-format gripping tool. The main goal of this development was to design a tool suited to the demands of collaborative work, built to operate in close proximity to human operators without the need for safety barriers.

Built to last

Our palletizing robot is made entirely of stainless steel, with an optional design specifically adapted for high-pressure cleaning.

Collaborative robotics

Our robot is safe for employees working nearby. Its safety features include the absence of sharp edges, no exposed mechanisms that could cause injury, and the ability to detect and avoid collisions with humans, ensuring secure interaction in the workplace.

It also offers a compact footprint without the need for protective enclosures, allowing for easy integration into your production lines. In addition, it is easy to move and can be used alternately on multiple production lines.
